Neil Ulyate (Managing/Creative Director)

In late 80’s Neil began his career in the design industry as a detail designer in the architecture and interior design industries.

In the early 90’s Neil went to work in the illumination and home automation industry as a designer and later was elected an affiliate member of the institute of illumination engineers of South Africa. Towards the middle of the 90’s Neil was also invited the give a series of lectures at BHC school of design on the integration of home automation into the design of a modern home.

Towards the latter part of the 90’s Neil got involved with graphic and web design and after winning a web design competition decided to start Kimia.

In the last 10 years he has been responsible for more than 80 corporate brands, over 140 website designs projects and many graphic projects from full magazines to all forms of print design and packaging including numerous photographic shoots.
